In class three, 9-1 Monett, hosting undefeated Harrisonville out of the Kansas City area..
Monett, getting it's district trophy before kickoff.
The visitors would get on the board first, Sean Ransburg, the quarterback, keeps it and stumbles a yard for the score, it's seven-nothing Harrisonville in the first quarter.
Monett having problems moving the ball early, Scotty Wilson would get stuffed for a loss of two, bringing up second and 15 from their own five yard line.
That would lead to a punt, but on the punt, Storm Bailey can't handle the bounce, so Sean Medlin pounces on it for Monett, and the Cubs are in business on the turnover.
But they couldn't capitalize, Harrisonville got the ball back, looking for the big play, Sean Ransburg had a wide-open Donnie Macleod, but Ransburg throws it just a bit too far.
Then Monett would get another turnover just before the end of the first quarter, DJ Dunmire gets the strip, and Scotty Wilson covers it up, it was seven-nothing in the second quarter.
And Harrisonville goes on to win 28-0. They'll play Mt. Vernon, the Mountaineers beat Ava 45-28.
