(Springfield, MO) -- Job seekers from around the Ozarks attended a career fair at Ozarks Technical Community College on Tuesday morning.
In it's sixth year, more than thirty different employers were on hand to talk about job opportunities and answer questions for potential employees.
Those looking to land a job say it is rough right now, but getting your foot in the door at an event like the one on Tuesday can always help if a job opens up in the future.
"Before I moved down here I had even spoken with some people, 'Well we don't have anything but maybe in the future.' You know? So, it's been kind of tough." says Maxine Patterson-Benton, who's looking for a job.
Beckie Collins, a recruiter for the Larson Group, adds, "So, in this economy, yeah, I would say our biggest challenge is finding good technicians that have gone to school like OTC and gotten the credentials that we're looking for."
Employers at Tuesday's event suggest if you can't make it to a job fair, search the internet. You can apply online at most companies websites or e-mail your resume.
