Pedestrian Killed Near Pomona

(Pomona, MO) -- A woman is dead and one seriously injured after walking into the path of a car in Howell County.
The Missouri Highway Patrol says Michelle Porter, 33, and Jeanine Smith, 49, were hit by a car on Highway 63 at Pomona around 8:30 Wednesday night.
Porter was killed in the accident.
Smith was taken to an area hospital.
