(Little Rock, AR) -- With only one dissenting vote the Arkansas Senate gave its approval Thursday to legislation to cut the state tax on groceries by one-third.
Instead of 3-cents on the dollar, the grocery tax would fall to 2-cents.
And, while the tax cut would be welcomed by those trying to feed their families, the state would take a significant revenue hit, an estimated loss of $30-million per year.
