(Jefferson City, MO) -- A warning for ice storm victims: Beware of bogus contractors and price-gouging.
That's the word from the federal and state emergency management agencies. They say all FEMA and SEMA representatives always wear photo ID's.
Ice storm victims are urged to really get to know their insurance policies, use local contractors and always ask for references.
If you have any doubt, there's also a hotline to call. It's 1-573-751-3321.
