New Charges Filed Against Neosho Church Shooting Suspect

The man accused of opening deadly fire at a
52-year-old Eiken Elam Saimon is now charged with statutory rape and statutory sodomy. Those charges stem from an incident that allegedly happened before the church shooting. Reports indicate Saimon was upset with people for talking about that crime.
After the church shooting, he pleaded not guilty to three counts of first degree murder. He also pleaded not guilty to four counts of assault, one count of armed criminal action, and felonious restraint. Those charges stem from injuring and holding several other members hostage in the church.
