An effort to curb crime has an Ozarks church protecting its vehicles.
Congregation members at Aurora United Methodist celebrated the opening of a bus barn there.
The steel structure will offer extended storage, in addition to housing a van, bus and scout troop trailer.
“At one point at time, they did get vandalize just sitting in our parking lot,” said pastor Bruce Jeffries. “So we realized there was a need for protection of those."
Congregation members also took time at today’s church services to pray for school personnel and students going back to class.
