MoDOT Hosts Virtual Meeting on I-49

The Missouri Department of Transportation is planning some major changes along Missouri Route 71 and is offering a virtual public meeting for people to comment on the project.
Starting today, people can log on to MoDOT's website and view the same displays and information that were offered at public meetings back in October.
The virtual meeting will be held through Thursday.
MoDOT has plans to convert Highway 71 into I-49.
Portions of that road between I-44 and Kansas City will need to be improved.
Some work will include eliminating intersections and replacing them with interchanges.
It is estimated the upgrades will cost around $200-million.
