SpfldCardsS2007-06-19-1182226565.jpgThe Springfield Cardinals wrapped up the first half of the Texas League season with back to back losses to Arkansas.

But the Cards had already wrapped up the North first half title over the weekend and secured a playoff spot in September. Monday night, Arkansas tried to score first, Michael Collins grounds this to deep short, Juan Lucena gets to the ball, the throw to first is too late, but the Travs Greg Porter tries to score and Mike Ferris throws home to get him out.

But Arkansas would score in the third, Adam Morrissey rips this rocket to right, it bounces off the wall, Cody Fuller scores it's 1-nothing.

The Travs get more in that third, Bobby Wilson singles to left, that scores both Aaron Peel and Freddy Sandoval it's 3-nothing.

It was 4-nothing when Springfield gets on the board in the fourth, Lucena singles to center, that scores Mike Ferris to make it 4-1.

And Arkansas goes onto win 5-3.
