Man Charged with Stabbing Attack in Ozark

A stabbing in Ozark lands one person behind bars and another at the hospital.
The Ozark police department says Jacob Daniel Watson, 20, was arrested Tuesday, following a knife attack on a young woman.
The attack happened as the woman was walking in the 1500 block off West Jackson. The woman was stabbed in the face and hands after being knocked to the ground.
She got away from her attacker when bystanders came to her aid, and ran to a nearby bank.
Witnesses led police to a man who ran from the scene following the attack. Prosecutors filed charges of first degree assault against Watson. He is being held in the Christian County Jail without bond.
Police say it appears the woman only knew Watson because they live in the same apartment complex.
The victim was taken a Springfield hospital for treatment and was released a short time later.
