Red Light Enforcement Delayed Two More Weeks

It's going to be a little bit longer before tickets are written from the red light cameras at National and Battlefield in Springfield.
The warning period now lasts until June 16. That's so the city and the camera vendor make sure all of the procedures are in place.
Originally, warnings for running the red light was to end Wednesday, May 30.
Cameras are triggered if a vehicle runs over the stop bar once the light turns red.
Those photographs are then reviewed and mailed to the offender if it's determined he or she crossed the stop line.
