Dueling Valentine's Day Events in Downtown Springfield

SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Downtown Springfield doesn't discriminate when it comes to Valentine's Day. There were options both for -- and against -- the holiday.

Finnegan's Wake downtown hosted the 3rd Annual "Stupid Cupid" party for single men and women, or those looking for an alternative.

All proceeds from the event went to the HOPE Sertoma organization, which supports children with pediatric emergencies.

Meanwhile at the Gillioz Theatre, those in the Valentine's mood were treated to a showing of "When Harry Met Sally," as part of a special event.

The venue offered a package for lovers that included sparkling wine for two, a box of chocolates, roses, a s'mores bar, live music, cocktail hour and admission to the movie.
