SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- The City of Springfield is looking for creative minds to help create a sculpture walk program.
A
public meeting will be held in two weeks --
The museum has teamed up with the Springfield Regional Arts Council, Urban Districts Alliance and Springfield Public Works for the meeting with hopes of developing concepts for the program.
The City says the so-called sculpture walk would promote public art, enhance the pedestrian experience, and link major activity centers downtown. Organizers aim to create a collaboration of private investments and public institutions.
The forum will include a brief background of public art strategic planning and current projects, a moderated discussion by Nick Nelson, Springfield Art Museum Director, and provide an opportunity to give input into the development of concept plans.
