On Monday, the Rotary Clubs of
Springfield announced that the 14th Annual Rock'n Ribs BBQ Festival to be held
The annual event that benefits Children's Charities in the Ozarks will be held at the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds. Last year, it was held at the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks.
"Rock 'n Ribs requires a great deal of space to set up our cooking teams, vendors, main event tent, which is our music venue. Leaving ample space for the attendees is a major priority," says Steve Scott, spokesperson for the event, in a statement. "We think the Ozark Empire Fairgrounds will provide plenty of room for the event. Their location is highly visible with good entry and exit access and plenty of parking."
There will also be camping available for teams who participate in the cooking competition. There are still available spots for teams to participate in the BBQ competition and sampling.

Rock'n Ribs has distributed $1,155,000 to children's charities in the area over the 14 year run - hitting the million dollar mark two years ago.
Proceeds benefit Boys & Girls Town of Missouri, Ronald McDonald House Charities-Mobile Dental Unit, Ozark Trails Council - Boy Scouts of America, Big Brothers-Big Sisters, Harmony House and The Good Samaritan Boys Ranch with special grants to other agencies. Over 900 Rotarians and community volunteers give their time each year to make this event happen.
