The city of Strafford is looking for reasons the water supply is testing positive for coliform bacteria.

People in Strafford received a notice in the mail from the Department of Natural Resources saying the City's water system first tested positive in September and then again in October.

DNR says the level of bacteria in the water is not an emergency, but says people with compromised immune systems and infants may want to boil their water.

The notice also says E-coli, or fecal coliform, was not found in the water.
