Deadly Crash in Douglas County

AVA, Mo. -- One man is dead after an overnight crash in Douglas County.
According to the Missouri Highway Patrol, the crash happened on Highway N about 12 miles south of Ava near the town of Squires.
Sometime around 7:30 a.m., Monday, a passerby saw a pickup truck that had flipped over.
The driver is identified as Ray B. Hicks, 32 of Ava.
Investigators say it appears Hicks had been dead for at least five hours when the crash was discovered.
Troopers say he was not wearing a seatbelt.
