(Springfield, MO) -- There's some good news for the Ozarks Food Harvest.Within the last six weeks, a Weight Watchers group that's part of the national Lose for Good campaign has lost more than 2,500 pounds. And during all that weight loss, those involved also collected more than 1,000 pounds of food.
All that food is going to the Ozarks Food Harvest. And Monday was delivery day at the South Campbell facility.
"It really motivated the members because they would ask themselves, 'I don't truly know what hunger is?' and that will keep them from over-extending that weight." says Vickie Ross, Weight Watchers leader.
Nationally, every pound Weight Watchers lost between September 7 and October 18, Weight Watchers donated the cost of one pound of food.
