While most of the state House wins in the Ozarks were by Republicans, KOZL's Aaron Nolan talked with one of the Democrats heading to the state capital.
It was a night of excitement as 100's packed out the Howard Johnson Convention Center for the Democrat party of Greene County. Among the candidates watching results roll in, is Charlie Norr, who won the 132nd seat.
Nolan - "Charlie, victorious tonight...talk about taking a state representative seat.
"As you know, I was the state rep once before for four years, so its a great feeling to win again. I'm anxious to get to Jeff City to get started and helping the people of my district," said Norr. "We have a lot of needs down here, and we need a representative who will in fact represent the district."
Noaln - "You're representing people right through the city of Springfield. Talk about the first thing that needs to be done when you get to Jefferson City."
"Well there's a lot of things on my agenda. I'd like to talk about early voting, I would certainly like to talk about restoring tax credits to things like Isabell's House, the Pregnancy Care Center, Child Advocacy Center," Norr said. "As you know, we cut tax credits to all those people this year and it was tragic, it's really going to hurt them. We need to get those reinstated."
Noaln - "Finally Charlie, how are you going to sleep tonight? It's got to be a restful night for you.?
"I'm going to sleep like a rock," Norr said.
