This is the last weekend to haul ice storm debris to Greene County’s free public drop-off sites for disposal, Greene County officials announced Thursday. The Fair Grove and Phenix Quarry debris sites will close to the public at sundown on Sunday, May 6.
Greene County opened three sites for residents to dispose of their ice storm debris in early February.
The Phenix Quarry and Fair Grove debris sites will remain open daylight hours every day until Sunday. The Fair Grove public drop-off site is at Fair Grove’s Future City Park site, just west of the intersection of Main and Walnut streets.
(Directions: From the intersection of U.S. 65 and State Highway 125, head east. Turn right, or south, on Main Street. Follow signs to the site.)
The Phenix Quarry public debris drop-off site is near Farm Roads 43 and 44. Use of both of these sites is free through Sunday.
