JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. -- The House of Representatives has a new speaker.

Representative Tim Jones of Eureka will fill out the unexpired term of Steven Tilley who resigned last month. Jones says he wants a new working relationship with the State Senate.

If Republicans hold on to the majority in the House during November's elections, it's likely Jones will be elected speaker for a full two year term.
