Police Searching for Tulsa Man Accused in Joplin MO Homicide

JOPLIN, Mo. -- A Tulsa man is wanted in connection with a homicide in Joplin.

Around 8:45 a.m. Friday, Joplin police responded to a call of a deceased person at 1912 S. Pearl.

Jacob A. Wages, 23, was found dead at the residence. Autopsy results showed a cause of death as a homicide.

Investigators have now identified a suspect: Daniel D. Hartman, 17, of Tulsa. Police say he's wanted for First Degree Murder, Armed Criminal Action, and First Degree Burglary.

The Jasper County Prosecutor's Office has set bond at $400,000 surety, plus additional $50,000 cash.

Police encourage anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact their local law enforcement or Heartland Crime Stoppers at (417) 782-8479.

Police also arrested two individuals at the victim's home. Johnathan J. Taylor, 19, of Joplin, and Cody E. Stephens, 20, of Parsons, KS have both been charged with First Degree Burglary.
