SPRINGFIELD, Mo. -- Incumbent Sen. Claire McCaskill (D-Mo) kicks off her Ozarks campaign for re-election Tuesday with stops in Springfield, Lebanon and Rolla.
Her campaign says McCaskill will start in Springfield today just before noon by hosting the opening of the Missouri Democratic Party's Coordinated Campaign office, 1771 South Grant.
From Springfield, McCaskill will travel by her campaign RV to Lebanon to tour the Cowan Civic Center, and then on to Rolla for a stop at a pie shop called A Slice of Pie.
McCaskill has no opposition in her August Democrat primary election. She will face the winner of the Republican primary.
The field in that race includes Todd Akin, Jerry Beck, Sarah Steelman, John G. Brunner, Mark Memoly, Mark Patrick Lodes, Robert (Bob) Poole, and Hector Maldonado.
