(Jefferson City, MO) -- Nearly four months before Missouri voters go to the polls, U.S. Sen. Claire McCaskill is embarking on her first statewide tour in her reelection campaign.
McCaskill - targeted by national Republicans as one of the most vulnerable Democrats up for reelection - will make her case to voters in 24 Missouri communities, her campaign announced Friday.
"This RV tour is just the beginning, because we're taking this campaign everywhere in our state. It doesn't matter if it's the reddest of red territory or the bluest of blue," said McCaskill. "As a daughter of rural Missouri I know how important it is to reach out to our small towns and communities to make sure they know what is at stake in this election."
McCaskill will kick off her tour in St. Joseph on Saturday, and hold stops across the state in the following week.
