Smokey Fire Damages Building at Big Cedar Lodge

(Ridgedale, MO)--A fire that broke out in a laundry facility at Big Cedar Lodge early this morning caused heavy fire, smoke and water damage, fire officials say.
The Western Taney County Fire Protection District says the fire was reported about 7:00 a.m. today in a building where laundry operations, engineering and administrative houses are located. The building is away from the main lodge and guests. No one was injured in the fire.
It took firefighters about 15 minutes to put out the fire, and they were able to keep the fire from spreading out of the laundry area.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, but is believed to be accidental, firefighters said.
