(Springfield, MO) -- This week, KOZL is partnering with the Ozarks Food Harvest, to collect food to feed children this summer.

Kids who get meals at school often go hungry over the summer months. Nearly 1,000 kids from 30 local schools won't be taking home food in the backpack program.

It allows at-risk children to take a backpack full of nutritious food for the weekend. But we can help get them through the summer.

KOZL will have the mobile food pantry at our studios all this week. Just pick up some kid-friendly food like boxed or canned meals, peanut butter, canned fruit or even paper products and bring them to us.

Our address is 2650 E. Division.

The food drive runs from May 29 through June 4.
