Judge Upholds Ballot Language for Tobacco Tax

(Jefferson City, MO)--A proposal to raise tobacco taxes in Missouri is one step closer to making it on the November ballot.
The Associated Press reports a judge in Cole County has upheld the ballot language.
If approved, the state's tax on cigarettes would go up to 90-cents per pack.
The tax is currently the lowest in the nation, at 17-cents.
State taxes on other tobacco products would also go up.
