Simon Cowell is adding some star power to the judges' table for the next season of "The X-Factor."
Fox confirms Britney Spears and Demi Lovato will join the show when it returns next fall.
In a press release, Cowell said he's delighted to have the pair, and expects they will speak to a younger audience, and will know exactly how to spot performers with "The X-Factor."

"Modern Family" actress Sarah Hyland has revealed she's undergone a kidney transplant. 
The 21-year-old was diagnosed with abnormal kidney development when she was just nine.
She said she's had to push through pain and fatigue while filming the hit ABC sitcom.
Hyland had the surgery last month -- her father was her donor.
She plans to recover over the summer hiatus.

Rapper Jay-Z is announcing a two-day music fest in Philadelphia for Labor Day weekend.
"Everyone knows my love affair with Philly, from the amazing talented artists we've signed from here," he said.
Jay-Z will perform, along with about 30 other artists from the worlds of rock, hip-hop, Latin and dance music.
"We've have like 70% of the artists already confirmed, it's going to be a great day, it's going to be a great day in Philly."
Tickets for the "Budweiser Made In America" Festival will go on sale May 23.
The event will benefit the United Way.
