(Branson, MO) -- Over the last week, contractors picked up an additional 400 tons of debris along the path of the leap day tornado in Branson.

The City says Holliday Construction has completed a special tornado debris pickup project in impacted neighborhoods that began on March 26.

During that time, contractors picked up about 2,500 cubic yards of household debris, as well as limbs and brush. That's in addition to 5,000 cubic yards -- more than 1,000 tons -- of tree limbs that city crews removed from neighborhoods in the first few weeks following the storm.

The EF-2 tornado hit the area on February 29 doing extensive damage in Kimberling City, Branson and Powersite. Two people were killed in the Ozarks during the outbreak -- one in Buffalo and another in Cassville.

If you missed out this time around, Branson will hold its annual spring cleanup for the entire town. That's set for April 16-20, 2012.

Ward I pick-up is on Monday, April 16, Ward II is on Tuesday, April 17, and Ward III is on Wednesday, April 18. Brush and limbs will be picked up in all three wards on Thursday, April 19.
