I'm joining the KOLR10/KOZL news team from KBZK/KXLF in Bozeman, Montana also known as "Big Sky Country" where I was mainly an Anchor and Multimedia Journalist/Reporter-- but did a little bit of everything.
A southern girl, I was born and raised in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. I attended college in the beautiful sunshine state at the University of Florida (GO GATORS!) where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications with an outside concentration in Theater.
During my college years, I worked as a Reporter for ABC News On Campus and as an Anchor, Weather Forecaster, and Reporter for WUFT News-- the local PBS affiliate. I also worked as an Anchor, Producer, Reporter, and Entertainment Host for WRUF AM 850 in Gainesville where I won a 2008 Regional Edward R. Murrow award for a news documentary on food banks.
I spent two of my college summers interning for WXII in Winston-Salem, North Carolina and always knew this is what I wanted to do.
I love anything that involves sunshine, music, sports, working out, the beach, dancing, singing, spending time with my wonderful friends and family, and of course cheering on the Florida Gators and Carolina Tarheels!
I am very excited to be a part of the KOLR10/KOZL news team and I think Springfield is absolutely wonderful so far!
