Pre-teen Turkey Caller

Spring turkey season is here and most hunters will take a little help into the woods.
To call a turkey, most people need a reed or calling device. Not Elijah Ford of Jackson, Missouri.
He's a sixth grader who can call out a turkey using only his throat.
Elijah has mastered several calls. Among them: the "plain yelp," the "click and purr" and "the kiki run," that's a sound baby turkeys let out when they're lost.
Elijah will be featured in Field and Stream Magazine's youth online edition.
By the way, when Elijah competes, there's no category for people who can do it naturally so he competes right alongside the guys using reeds and slate callers.
