Catholic Church Dismisses Priest from Clergy

(St. Louis, MO) -- A former Springfield priest is dismissed from the Catholic church.
Pope Benedict recently approved the request for Father Marek Bozek be returned to the lay state, which means he can no longer function as a priest.
Three years ago, Bozek left the Springfield-Cape Girardeau Diocese for a St. Louis area church against the wishes of the diocese. He was later excommunicated.
