(Stone County, MO) -- It sounds like a good cause.
Jars are sitting in several Stone County convenience stores to raise money for K-9 search and rescue. But if you put your money into these jars, it's not going where you'd think.
Sheriff Richard Hill says the people behind these jars are in no way affiliated with his office or the fire protection district there.
The person responsible is also showing fake business cards labeled 911 Activated.
Hill says there's already a system in place in the county in terms of K-9 rescue.
