State To Get Water-Quality Funds

(Dallas, Texas ) Arkansas will receive nearly $334,000 in federal money to study water quality.
Officials said today the Department of Environmental Quality will use the EPA funds to conduct ambient water-quality monitoring throughout the state.
The efforts will involve collecting samples from various lakes so the data can be used to develop water-quality standards and determine the effects of impaired water bodies on aquatic life.
