(St. Louis) -- A native St. Louisian will serve as archbishop of New York.
Pope Benedict the 16th has named Archbishop Timothy Dolan to the post.
Dolan was ordained in St. Louis and served in several area parishes before being named to the Archdiocese of Milwaukee.
The Survivors Network Of Those Abused By Priests is responding to the appointment of Timothy Dolan as archbishop of New York.
SNAP National Director David Clohessy says "Dolan is smart and charming but ultimately unwilling to put the continuing suffering of wounded adults and to the continuing vulnerability of innocent kids above concerns for his reputation and the reputation of the church hierarchy."
