A local hospital celebrates one hundred years of rehabilitating patients from around the world.
The Missouri Rehabilitation Center first opened its doors in August of 1907 and today it held it's centennial celebration.
When it first opened it was called the Missouri State Sanatorium and worked to control the spread of tuberculosis.
In 1985 it changed it's name and began focusing on physical rehabilitation and now specializes in traumatic brain injuries.
It also has one of the largest and most succesful ventilator-weaning programs in the country.
