3.1 Earthquake Near Harrison, AR

Some people in northwest Arkansas got an interesting wake up call Friday morning.


A small earthquake struck just outside of Harrison at   The U.S. Geological Survey says the 3.1 magnitude quake was centered about two miles south-southeast of the town.

           

The Boone County Sheriff's Department says although several people felt the quake, no damage or injuries are reported.

           

Northwest Arkansas is in part of the New Madrid Seismic Network.
