(Washington, DC)  --  Most Americans believe it's going to take at least two years to get the country out of recession.
A new CNN/Opinion Research Poll found just 13-percent believe the economy would turn around in a year.

Tewnty-seven percent thought it would take just two years, while a whopping 59-percent said it would take two years or longer.

Half of those asked felt the economy was in very poor shape.
It may sound high, but that's down from the 66-percent who thought so last month.

Nearly three quarters of those polled said the economy was the biggest issue facing the country.

Just eight percent said it was the Iraq war.

Unemployment was the top economic concern for Americans, with half saying job creation should be President Obama's top priority.

A poll released over the weekend found six in ten Americans support increased government spending to jump start the economy.

That number soared to more than 70-percent when tax cuts were added.
