Downtown Theater to Break Ground Today

The city of Springfield and developers are breaking ground this afternoon on a new downtown movie theater.
The Hollywood Theaters complex will be part of the College Station property south of Olive Street between Campbell and Market avenues.
It will include 14 screens, all-stadium seating and the latest acoustic and digital surround sound technology.
Hollywood Theaters is expected to open sometime next summer.
Today's groundbreaking ceremony takes place at 2:00 pm.
