Here's an important note for parents of school-aged children in Greene County. The city-county health department has announced a series of special clinics this month for back to school immunizations.
All students must have up to date immunizations before heading back to class, according to state law.
"Students must be current on their vaccinations before entering school," says immunization coordinator Leslie Davis, RN. "Our office provides all required childhood immunizations at no cost to children through age 18."
The walk-in clinics will be held Monday through Friday throughout the month of August at the Westside Public Health Center, 660 S. Scenic in Springfield. The clinics are scheduled Monday-Friday, 8:00 - 10:00 a.m.
Parents can also schedule an appointment by calling (417) 874-1220. To download a list of required immunizations, click here (pdf)
