Maschino's has been located at 1715 S. Campbell since 1952. However, the history of Maschino's in Springfield actually dates over 100 years. While Maschino's focus has changed as times have changed, we are still the same Maschino's that is known for knowledgeable, friendly service while offering top quality merchandise. The company is still locally owned by the Maschino family.
If you are a long-time customer of Maschino's, you may have noticed a change in our tag line from Home Express to Experience the Difference. As a loyal customer, you have already witnessed this experience and know why we have made this change. However, for our soon-to-be customers, you are about to realize that shopping in the modern world can still be a one-on-one interaction with a smiling face and knowledgeable person - just like in 1952. You will go away with well-made merchandise and the assurance of support from someone who is happy to help you. You too will have experienced the difference.

How can I make my wood fireplace more efficient?
If you would like to continue to burn wood, you will need to consider air-tight doors and a blower unit. The air tight doors control how fast your wood will burn, and how much heat will lose up your chimney. The heat exchanger will allow you to collect the heat from the fire and deliver to your room/house.
How can I turn my wood fireplace into an efficient gas fireplace?
You will need to have a plumber provide you with an estimate of the cost to run a gas line to your fireplace. The second step is to measure your fireplace. Third step is to stop by the store and see the choices of inserts and log sets that you would like to go into your fireplace.
Do any of your fireplaces give off heat with out electricity?
Our wood stoves/inserts and our gas logs/stoves/inserts will. Our remotes are battery operated. The only part of these products that require the electric source is the blowers.
How easy can I add a fireplace to my house?
An electric fireplace with mantel is easy as: find a wall and plug in the cord to the outlet. It will heat a 15 x 15 room.
How can I add extra seating for the holidays?
A small pub set with 2-4 swivel bar stools creates a casual gathering spot to eat and drink.
Do you carry any bar/counter stools in stock? Or do I have to order everything?
