(Camden County, MO) -- Deputies in Camden County are investigating the shooting of two horses over the weekend.

Sheriff John Page says it happened on Possum Ridge Road.  He says one horse, a Painted Tennessee Walker, was killed and the other, a brown mare, was wounded in the rear leg.

Pictured to the left are Animal Control officers, a vet and concerned citizens helping the horse that survived.
