(Springfield, MO) -- City Utilities of Springfield is offering more options for customers to pay their monthly bills.

CU administrators say in response to customer demand, the utility is now offering options like quick pay through a checking acount and automatic phone and credit card options.

Mark Viguet, CU spokesman, says the new options may mean fewer people will choose to pay their bills in person and may also help people save a little money on gas and postage.  "For customers, one of the things it does is helps make things more convenient for them.  But basically they can pay up until their due date when they want to, and how they want to on their schedule so it's very convenient."
