![]() Kate Stacy I grew up in Kansas City and received my degree in Communication-Journalism from Truman State University in Kirksville, Missouri. I've always had a love for news and even conducted interviews with family and friends in my neighborhood as a kid. My passion for the business was fueled by two summer internships with the NBC affiliate in Kansas City during college. I also worked in the Production Department at the ABC affiliate in Kirksville. My most recent stop was at KQ2 in St. Joseph, Missouri, where I was weekend Anchor and Producer. I've been recognized by the Missouri Broadcaster Association for my reporting on children's health and also for public affairs coverage of U.S. soldiers. While most of my life has been spent in the Show-Me State, living in Ireland and backpacking through Europe has left me with the travel bug. I love to discover new places and meet interesting people. That's why I'm excited to be in the Ozarks. There's so much to discover! I enjoy getting involved in the community. I spend time every week tutoring Springfield middle school students. I also guest lecture every semester at Missouri State University. When I'm not at work, I like going out to eat, watching movies, going for a jog or just relaxing with family and friends. Please feel free to email me with questions, concerns and of course, story ideas. Click to Email Kate |
