Dan Lucy

Hello, I'm Dan Lucy and for the past 20 years I've been covering sports for KOLR10. I've been the sports director since May of 1993 and enjoy anchoring the 6 and 10 p.m. shows. I also anchor occasionally on Ozarks FOX.

My father was in the Army and I grew up all over the United States from Germany to Hawaii and everywhere in between, but I call Springfield home mainly because I've lived here longer than anywhere else in my life.

I attended high school at Millard South in Omaha Nebraska and earned my bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism from the University of Missouri in 1985. I worked at the NBC affiliate in Columbia for four years before arriving in Springfield in December of 1988.

I've covered the World Series, the Super Bowl, and the NCAA basketball tournament, but I have the most fun meeting local athletes and telling their story. My wife Linda and I have a son, Scott, who was born here in Springfield in May of 1989.

In addition to my television work, I also am part of the Missouri State basketball television broadcast team.
