Drivers take note, a main thoroughfare in north Springfield will be shut down Monday morning.

Beginning at 8 a.m., construction crews will shut down Commercial Street, from west of Boonville Avenue to Campbell Avenue.

The city says crews will be working on the water main, and updating the street-scape along Commercial Street.

The street is not expected to re-open until November.
