David OliverHi there. I'm David Oliver, weeknight anchor here at KOLR 10. Thanks for stopping by our website, and clicking on my bio. I joined the KOLR 10 team in December 2003. Before arriving in the Ozarks, I worked for television stations in Boise Idaho, Topeka Kansas and Wichita Kansas. I actually launched my TV news adventure while I was in High School, and continued working my way into the business during my college years at the University of Kansas and Wichita State University. While working in Boise, I was proud to be honored by the Idaho Press club with a first place award for series reporting, and I was part of the anchor team that won the first ever Regional Emmy award for daily news coverage in Idaho. Since joining KOLR 10, I've seen quite a few places. I joined Dan Lucy to report from the 2004 World Series in St. Louis, and I was one of the few Ozarks Journalists to travel to the Gulf Coast following Hurricane Katrina in 2005. My weekly franchise called "Oliver's Ozarks" has also afforded me the ability to get out and see the beautiful areas of the Ozarks, and meet the people that make this such a special area. My wife Julie and I are the proud parents of two beautiful children, Britney and Dawson. In what little spare time is left after family time, I'm proud to lend my support to organizations like the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Big Brothers Big Sisters of the Ozarks. I can say in all honesty that this is the greatest place in the world to live and raise a family. The people here are warm and genuine. And I am truly honored to report on the news that matters to the people of Southwest Missouri. You can count on the KOLR 10 team to always dig deeper, and bring you accurate, fair and objective local coverage. If you see me out sometime, tap me on the shoulder and say 'hi'.
