(Springfield, MO) -- Ozarks homeowners struggling to avoid foreclosure have another way to get the help they need.

Catholic Charities is receiving funding from a federal grant to help people facing eviction or foreclosure.

The group will offer counseling and mediation services, including helping with realistic payback plans and budgeting.

Participants will need to live in the greater Springfield/Joplin area, have an income, be behind in mortgage payments and in danger of foreclosure.
