Tuesday, Dec 1, 2009 @08:13pm CST (Washington, D.C.) -- More than $1.1 million in federal grant money has been awarded to Missouri for storm damage repair. Missouri Senator Claire McCaskill announced on Tuesday that the Intercounty Electric Cooperative Association has been awarded the FEMA money. FEMA says the funds will help offset the costs to repair an electrical distribution system in Dent, Maries, Phelps, Pulaski, Shannon, Texas and Wright Counties. This after electrical services were knocked out in May 2009 due to high winds, heavy rain and tornadoes. |
