(Joplin, MO) -- Family and friends said goodbye on Sunday to a Joplin soldier who gave the ultimate sacrifice.
   
36-year old Staff Sergeant John Cleaver was killed in Afghanistan earlier this month.  A suicide bomber attacked his unit.
   
Funeral services were held on Sunday in Galena, Kansas.
   
Cleaver spent 14 years in the military and fought in four war zones.  He is survived by his mother, father and two sons.
