Tim Clubb pitched a complete game shutout and won his ninth game of the year as Missouri State picked up a 2-0 win over Middle Tennessee State Friday night at Hammons Field.

Clubb struck out three, walked two, and give up four hits as he became the first Missouri State pitcher to start a season 9-0 since 2001.

Middle Tennessee's Kenneth Roberts matched Clubb's effort in the early innings, going five and two-thirds innings before giving up a hit. 

Missouri State's Ben Woodbury broke up the no-hitter in the bottom of the 6th, and scored the game's first run on a Brayden Drake RBI double later in the inning.

Missouri State improves to 34-14 overall, and will play Middle Tennessee State again Saturday at 12:30 p.m.
